Went for a birthday dinner and everything was great. Everyone enjoyed all their food and drinks. Definitely a place that is worth the splurge.

The presentation of the food and the food itself is fabulous. The staff were attentive which makes it for a comfortable atmosphere. The ambiance is a true vision.

Brazas was great; the ambiance of this place is wonderful. Went to celebrate a birthday, but this would be a great place to bring a date, guests (out of town), etc. Service was truly impeccable. The food was delicious- our table had the fish of the day, chicken enchiladas, and a burger (w/chorizo); all dishes were equally wonderful. I don't live in Bakersfield but visit regularly. The restaurant game needs good places like this in Bakersfield.

Oh my God it was delicious food and the service was amazing- I ordered the guacamole and the Relleno Del Mar Pasilla pepper stuffed with mushroom, shrimp, crab, and Oaxaca cheese, spicy chipotle cream sauce, and white rice! Beautiful place -

First time trying this place. The decor was so cute and the food was very good. They also had live music which we enjoyed .

Had seen this spot driving down Rosedale highway and after looking at some of the pictures picked it to try out as date night spot. We came at 5pm on a Friday and were seated right away. Not sure why it wasn't busier because this place was really good! When you entering the mood is dark and intimate. There are a couple seating options, they have table and then a long couch like seat with pillow and plush chairs on the other side. I was worried about being seated on the couch but it was extremely comfortable with a pillow to support your back. They bring out tostadas with bean dip and salsa. Both were good. We started with a couple drinks-which were both good and strong as well as the calamara frito. The calamari was not what we were used to as they were larger and thicker but delicious and perfectly tender. We opted for Mar-y-Tierra and the Chile Relleno-Del Mar. The show stopper was definitely the Mar-Y-Tierra as it was a large steak, grilled octopus with pesto, grilled veggies, and a couple skewered shrimp. The Relleno was good but next time I would go for the former noted. Service was fast and very attentive. They said they offer a Sunday brunch options which we would love to try. We definitely will be back!

My experience was great for it being my first time. The waitress was super sweet and attentive the entire meal. The food was very delicious. I came here with my husband on a Tuesday night. It's a great spot for a date night without the kids. It wasn't busy when we got there and were seated right away. Our favorite were the chicken flautas. We used that green sauce on everything. My salmon was very dry, so I used the sauce from the flautas. It needed a sauce on the side. I was able to substitute the ride for the sautéed mushrooms without extra cost, which was great. Food wasn't too oily like I'm used to at most Mexican restaurants. Overall, great experience.

Looking for a perfect date night spot? Brazas Cocina has you covered. This dimly lit restaurant exudes sexy vibes and a romantic aesthetic. It's a bit more energetic than traditional dining establishments, so be prepared for a lively atmosphere, especially if there's a DJ or live entertainment. We visited on a Saturday evening without reservations. We called ahead to check, and it was no problem. Arriving around 8pm, we were seated promptly. The decor was fabulous, giving off a chic Miami vibe. Our server greeted us quickly and provided menus. The cocktail menu was sufficient, though the lack of prices on the house cocktails was odd. We went with spicy margaritas. My partner enjoyed his mezcal cocktail, but mine was just okay--it had unexpected hints of coconut not listed in the ingredients. The second round of cocktails also had inconsistencies; my partner's drink tasted completely different. We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary cheese bread to start. It came with a chili oil that was essentially dried chili flakes in oil--tasty but not visually appealing. We began with aguachiles, which were good. I appreciated the cucumber underneath the shrimp, acting like a carb-free tostada (tostadas were also provided). We also tried the tacos de lengua with bone marrow, which were very tender and delicious. For my entree, I had the enmoladas de mole. The mole had a nice depth of flavor but lacked the expected spice, even though I was warned it would be spicy--this is Bakersfield, after all. For dessert, I chose the pan de elote. While it had good flavor, the trail-mix topping (M&Ms, peanuts, dried fruit, and popcorn) was confusing and doused in a sauce that seemed to mask the fact that the dessert wasn't fresh. Overall, Brazas made for a nice evening. That Saturday night was quite loud, featuring karaoke, which isn't ideal for a weekend date. Prices were a bit high, but that's becoming the norm these days.

Beautiful place for a date or family dinner The manager, servers, waiters, waitresses and bartenders are awesome.
